Therapist in Addison, TX | ADHD & Christian Counseling

At Healing Harmony, we work with young adults who have been pushing through for a while and are starting to feel the cost of that. ADHD that makes even high-functioning days feel like they require twice the effort. A faith that has gotten more complicated with experience. An identity built across countries that still shapes how you see yourself in ways that are hard to explain to most people. An anxiety or heaviness that does not show on the outside but takes up real space on the inside. We are here to listen without rushing you toward a conclusion. If you are looking for a therapist in Addison, TX, you are in the right place.
Addison is a small but dense community tucked between Dallas and Plano along the North Dallas Tollway corridor, and it carries a character that feels different from its neighbors. Known for its restaurant row along Belt Line Road, Addison Circle Park, and a walkable urban density unusual for North Texas, it draws a mix of young professionals who want proximity to both Dallas and the northern suburbs without fully committing to either. International Drive and the corporate campuses throughout the area bring a globally mobile, highly connected young professional population that often has more going on internally than the polished exteriors of the community would suggest.
Many of the young adults we see in the Addison area are building careers in a high-demand environment while carrying real questions about identity, meaning, and connection that are hard to address when everything is structured around productivity. We also work with internationally raised young adults in this corridor who are navigating dual cultural identities in a community that moves quickly. Online sessions are available from anywhere in Addison and throughout the surrounding North Dallas area.

Therapy that starts with actually listening We do not start with a formula. We start by listening, not just to what is wrong but to the full picture of who you are: your history, your patterns, the things you want to build, and the things that keep getting in the way. Jeffrey brings both professional training and real lived experience with ADHD and Third Culture Kid identity into every session. That means you are not just understood clinically. You are understood personally.

A free call with no pressure Getting started looks like a real conversation, not a process. The first step is a free 30-minute introductory call so we can hear what is going on and figure out the best fit for where you are right now. There is nothing to commit to before that call feels right.

Sessions that build something real over time Once therapy begins, sessions happen online via Zoom for young adults anywhere in Texas. The first part of the work is about getting to know your story in real depth before anything else. From there, we move toward the clarity, the relief, and the practical tools that actually hold up when life gets hard.

A lot of young adults arrive at individual therapy when the strategies they have been using to manage start to show their limits. Not because they failed. Because the situation calls for something deeper than strategy, and therapy is the thing that goes there. Sessions at Healing Harmony are built around your story from the first conversation. Jeffrey listens to the full picture before any framework gets applied, and the work that follows is shaped by what you actually need at the pace that actually makes sense for you.
Faith questions that have been sitting unanswered for a long time do not resolve themselves on their own. If your relationship with God has shifted, if doubt or disappointment has settled in, if you are trying to figure out what faith actually means for you now, Christian therapy at Healing Harmony is a space where all of that has room. Sessions are grounded in genuine care rather than religious expectation. There is no script to follow and no conclusion you are being led toward. The goal is to create honest space for what is actually true and walk through it with you.
Anxiety that does not look like panic can still take up a significant amount of your life. The overthinking, the avoidance of things that are not actually dangerous, the difficulty being present, the background sense that you need to stay alert. That is a real cost and it is worth addressing. Anxiety therapy at Healing Harmony is about understanding what is actually driving the pattern, not just interrupting it. When that understanding is in place, clients describe a genuine shift in how the anxiety functions: less like something to manage and more like something they have a real relationship with.
ADHD creates a particular kind of friction with the demands of adult life, and it does not get easier with more effort alone. The systems that work for most people do not always work for you. The expectations that feel manageable for others create an extra layer of difficulty that adds up over time. Jeffrey has ADHD himself and brings that understanding directly into the work. He knows the difference between what sounds like a good strategy and what actually holds up in real life. Sessions are built around understanding how ADHD specifically shows up for you and developing tools that fit.
The experience of growing up between cultures does not stop being relevant when you reach adulthood. It shows up in how you relate to people, how you navigate belonging, and how you build identity in a world that expects clear answers to questions like where are you from. Those questions deserve real space. Jeffrey has lived and worked across six countries and brings that experience into TCK therapy without needing the context explained first. Sessions go into the specific layers of grief, identity, and belonging that come from a Third Culture Kid upbringing and work toward something genuinely integrative.
For many young adults, depression is less about feeling sad and more like a slow loss of access to the things that used to make life feel worthwhile. Energy. Motivation. The ability to be present. A flatness that has been there long enough to start feeling normal. It is not normal and it does not have to stay. Therapy for depression creates consistent space to understand what is underneath the weight and begin moving toward something real. Sessions are built around honest, steady work without a timeline or a performance requirement. The therapist stays in it with you.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Jeffrey accepts Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, and Blue Cross BlueShield.

  • What if I’m not sure which therapy service I need?

That’s okay. During our intro call, we’ll explore your current challenges and help guide you toward the service that best fits your needs.
