Therapist in Allen, TX | ADHD & Christian Counseling

At Healing Harmony, we work with young adults who are quietly exhausted from holding everything together. ADHD that makes the space between intention and action feel impossible to close. A faith that has grown more complicated with time rather than less. An identity built across countries that still shapes how you relate to the people closest to you. An anxiety that rarely announces itself but is always somewhere in the room. We are not here to hand you a formula. We are here to actually listen. If you are looking for a therapist in Allen, TX, you are in the right place.
Allen is where Healing Harmony calls home, and it shows in how well we know this city. Watters Creek at Montgomery Farm gives Allen its walkable, upscale center, while the energy around Allen High School and its stadium reflects a community that takes achievement seriously, sometimes to a fault. Twin Creeks and Bethany Lakes Park anchor the quieter, family focused side of the city, and the growing corporate presence along the US 75 corridor has brought a steady wave of transplants building careers and adult lives here for the first time.
Being based in Allen means we understand the specific pressure of growing up or starting adult life in one of the highest performing school districts and most competitive job corridors in Collin County. A lot of the young adults we see here are managing expectations that started long before adulthood, and we also work with internationally raised clients who have settled in Allen and are still working out what home means after years of moving. Sessions are online, though we are proud to be your neighbors right here in Allen.

Therapy that starts with actually listening We do not start with a formula. We start by listening, not just to what is wrong but to the full picture of who you are: your history, your patterns, the things you want to build, and the things that keep getting in the way. Jeffrey brings both professional training and real lived experience with ADHD and Third Culture Kid identity into every session. That means you are not just understood clinically. You are understood personally.

A free call with no pressure Getting started looks like a real conversation, not a process. The first step is a free 30-minute introductory call so we can hear what is going on and figure out the best fit for where you are right now. There is nothing to commit to before that call feels right.

Sessions that build something real over time Once therapy begins, sessions happen online via Zoom for young adults anywhere in Texas. The first part of the work is about getting to know your story in real depth before anything else. From there, we move toward the clarity, the relief, and the practical tools that actually hold up when life gets hard.

Young adults in Allen often arrive at individual therapy carrying more than the achievement around them would suggest. A pattern that keeps resurfacing. A stress load that has quietly become the norm. A sense that something needs to shift but no clear idea of where to start. At Healing Harmony, sessions begin with your full story, not a template built for someone else's situation. Jeffrey listens first, then builds the work around your actual pace and what you are genuinely trying to move toward, not what looks good from the outside.
A lot of young adults raised in Allen's church communities reach adulthood carrying faith questions they were never quite given room to ask. Doubt that feels disqualifying. Disappointment that feels disloyal. None of that has to stay unspoken here. Christian therapy at Healing Harmony treats those questions as legitimate rather than dangerous. The work is not about steering you toward a predetermined answer. It is about creating honest space for where your faith actually stands right now and walking through it with care.
Anxiety in a competitive community often gets mistaken for ambition. The constant preparing, the inability to relax even when things are going fine, the sense that falling behind is always one misstep away. That constant vigilance has a real cost, even when it looks like drive from the outside. The work in anxiety therapy is about identifying what is actually underneath that vigilance and building a steadier relationship with uncertainty. Clients describe a genuine shift from being run by anxiety to having real tools for when it shows up.
ADHD in a high achieving community like Allen carries its own particular weight. The expectation to keep up is constant, and the gap between what you know you are capable of and what actually gets done can start to feel like a personal failure. It is not. It is a brain working differently inside systems that were not built with that difference in mind. Jeffrey has ADHD and understands that gap from firsthand experience. Sessions focus on how ADHD specifically shows up for you, not a generic productivity plan, and build tools that hold up even in a demanding environment.
If your childhood moved across countries, adulthood in a single fixed community like Allen can feel strange in ways that are hard to explain to people who grew up down the street from their grandparents. Belonging does not come automatically just because you have settled somewhere. Jeffrey has lived across six countries and understands that particular kind of dislocation. Sessions make space for the grief, the identity questions, and the strengths of a Third Culture Kid upbringing, and work toward a sense of home that does not depend on staying in one place forever.
Depression can be easy to miss in a community built around achievement, because the outward markers often still look fine. Grades are still good. Work still gets done. But underneath, there can be a flatness, a loss of interest in things that used to matter, and a growing sense that nothing is going to change. Therapy for depression at Healing Harmony makes room to look underneath that flatness honestly, without a timeline or a performance requirement. It is steady work with a therapist who stays present through it.

Jeffrey, LPC, can only provide online counseling if you are physically within Texas. If you are based elsewhere, Rebekah can support you under her life coach license.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Jeffrey accepts Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, and Blue Cross BlueShield.

  • What if I’m not sure which therapy service I need?

That’s okay. During our intro call, we’ll explore your current challenges and help guide you toward the service that best fits your needs.

  • Can I switch therapists if needed?

Switching may be possible depending on your needs. Since Jeffrey is a licensed therapist who accepts insurance and Rebekah is a life coach, a switch from Jeffrey to Rebekah wouldn’t work if you need therapy with insurance coverage.
