Therapist in Grand Prairie, TX | ADHD & Christian Counseling

At Healing Harmony, we work with young adults who are carrying more than the people around them probably realize. ADHD that makes even straightforward tasks feel like they require an unreasonable amount of energy. A faith that has had to survive real life and is still figuring out what it looks like on the other side. An identity built between countries or cultures that makes full belonging feel like a moving target. A weight that has been there long enough that it has started to feel normal. We are not here to tell you what your experience should look like. We are here to sit with what it actually is. If you are looking for a therapist in Grand Prairie, TX, you are in the right place.
Grand Prairie sits between Dallas and Fort Worth in a corridor that is often overlooked in conversations about the DFW metro but carries a character and community depth that is entirely its own. Joe Pool Lake anchors its southwestern edge and gives the city a recreational identity that draws residents across generations. The community has significant Latino and South Asian populations that have built lasting cultural presence throughout the city, and the diversity of Grand Prairie's neighborhoods reflects a mix of longtime residents, recent transplants, and families navigating the particular pressures that come with building lives in a high-cost metro. Mental health care that understands those layers is not always easy to find.
We work with young adults from across Grand Prairie's communities, including those who have not always seen themselves represented in mental health spaces and are looking for a therapist who will understand their full context without requiring an explanation before every session. We also serve internationally raised young adults in this area who are navigating the gap between the world they grew up in and the one they are building here. Sessions are online and accessible from anywhere in Grand Prairie and throughout the mid-cities area.

Therapy that starts with actually listening We do not start with a formula. We start by listening, not just to what is wrong but to the full picture of who you are: your history, your patterns, the things you want to build, and the things that keep getting in the way. Jeffrey brings both professional training and real lived experience with ADHD and Third Culture Kid identity into every session. That means you are not just understood clinically. You are understood personally.

A free call with no pressure Getting started looks like a real conversation, not a process. The first step is a free 30-minute introductory call so we can hear what is going on and figure out the best fit for where you are right now. There is nothing to commit to before that call feels right.

Sessions that build something real over time Once therapy begins, sessions happen online via Zoom for young adults anywhere in Texas. The first part of the work is about getting to know your story in real depth before anything else. From there, we move toward the clarity, the relief, and the practical tools that actually hold up when life gets hard.

Young adults often come to individual therapy at a point when everything they have tried to do on their own has reached its limit. That point is not a failure. It is honest self-awareness about what the situation actually requires, and what it requires is what therapy provides. Jeffrey builds sessions around your actual story, not a template. He takes the time to understand where you are before the work begins in earnest. From there, sessions are shaped around what you genuinely need and move at a pace that feels honest for you.
If faith has raised more questions than it has answered for you lately, you are not alone. Young adults navigating doubt, disappointment, or a longing for something more honest than what they have access to deserve a space where those experiences are met with care rather than correction. Christian therapy at Healing Harmony is grounded in genuine care and free from the pressure to perform spiritual health. Sessions create real space for what is true and walk alongside you as you work out what that means. There is no predetermined destination.
Anxiety for young adults often looks like thoroughness, preparedness, or high standards from the outside. Inside it is a different experience: a difficulty settling, a sense that something bad is coming, an inability to be fully present even in good moments. That gap between how it looks and how it feels is worth taking seriously. Sessions for anxiety at Healing Harmony are about understanding what is actually underneath the worry and building a more genuine relationship with uncertainty. When that understanding is in place, the anxiety shifts from something that manages you to something you have real tools for.
If you have ADHD, you already know the experience of working twice as hard for outcomes that come more easily to others. Not because you are less capable but because the systems you are working within were not built for the way your brain operates. That gap is real and it has a cumulative cost. Jeffrey specializes in ADHD therapy and has ADHD himself. Sessions are built around understanding your specific ADHD rather than applying a generic approach. The tools that come out of that work are ones that hold up in real conditions, not just in theory.
If you grew up between countries and cultures, you carry an experience that most people in your adult life have not shared. The grief of repeated goodbyes. The skill of constant adaptation. The identity questions that come from never quite fitting a single cultural category. That deserves to be met with real understanding. Jeffrey has lived across six countries and brings that experience into his work with TCK clients. He understands the full complexity of what you carry without needing it explained. Sessions go into the grief, the identity work, and the real possibility of building belonging on the other side.
Depression in young adults often does not match the public image of the condition. It is quieter, more internal: a loss of motivation, a difficulty caring about things, a flatness that makes it hard to show up for your own life even when you want to. It is real whether or not it looks dramatic. Therapy for depression is about finding what is underneath the weight and beginning to move through it honestly. Sessions at Healing Harmony are built around steady, compassionate work with no expectation of performing recovery. The therapist stays in it with you for as long as it takes.

  • Do you accept insurance?

Yes, Jeffrey accepts Aetna, Cigna, United Health Care, and Blue Cross BlueShield.

  • What if I’m not sure which therapy service I need?

That’s okay. During our intro call, we’ll explore your current challenges and help guide you toward the service that best fits your needs.
